Romulus House Restaurant Exterior

Our History

Romulus House Restaurant opened its doors in 1991, quickly becoming a cherished part of the Romulus community. For over 30 years, we've been serving delicious homestyle cooking with a focus on quality, value, and friendly service.

Located at the corner of Wayne Road and Wick, we've proudly served locals, travelers, and airport visitors throughout the years. Our convenient location near Detroit Metropolitan Airport makes us a favorite stop for visitors passing through the area.

Throughout our history, we've maintained our commitment to providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy hearty meals at reasonable prices. Our longevity is a testament to the loyalty of our customers and the dedication of our staff.

Our Values

Quality Food

We use fresh ingredients and time-tested recipes to ensure that every meal meets our high standards of quality and taste.

Family-Owned

As a family-owned restaurant, we treat our customers like family, providing personal service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Fair Prices

We believe in offering generous portions at reasonable prices, providing great value to our customers every day.

Community Focus

We're proud to be part of the Romulus community and actively give back through events like our annual Thanksgiving dinner.

Our Signature Dishes

Famous Broasted Chicken

Our Broasted Chicken has been a customer favorite since we opened. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, it's cooked to perfection using a special pressure-frying method that locks in the flavor while reducing the oil absorption.

Available in individual dinners or family-sized portions, our Broasted Chicken is perfect for any occasion, from a quick lunch to a family gathering.

Southern Fried Catfish

Another house specialty, our Southern Fried Catfish has earned rave reviews for its perfect crispy coating and tender, flavorful fish. We use a special blend of seasonings to create a dish that's worth going out of your way for.

Served with your choice of potato and vegetable, it's a complete meal that showcases our commitment to quality and taste.

Community Involvement

At Romulus House Restaurant, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years. We're proud to be an active participant in local events and charitable initiatives.

One of our most cherished traditions is our annual free Thanksgiving dinner. Since 2014, we've opened our doors on the day before Thanksgiving to serve a complete turkey dinner with all the fixings to anyone who wishes to join us. While the meal is free, we accept donations that benefit the Romulus Good Fellows organization.

Throughout the year, we also support local schools, sports teams, and community organizations through donations, fundraisers, and sponsorships. We believe that a strong community makes us all stronger, and we're committed to doing our part.
